Sunday saw our very first Damson Homes Fishing Contest held at Woodsfarm Fishery in Shirley (conveniently located opposite the Drawbridge Pub) — and what a close-fought competition it was!!
Our construction team, inspired by our latest development at Lakeside, all decided to cross their rods and compare tackle to see who is our most ardent angler!
After a slow start, the afternoon saw the leading anglers virtually neck-and-neck till a late surge by the experienced Dave the Bricky, rocketed him to the top the pile earning a cash prize of £200 and the hallowed Damson Angling Trophy!
Hat tips also go to Mark the Decorator (2nd) and Dan the Roofer (3rd).
